In L.A, it’s the dishes that define our neighborhoods. Flavors inform us on culture and community, and chefs convey their story of our city with every meal. Abernethy’s is a showcase of emerging chefs who have a unique narrative to share.  It’s a forum for food that’s inspired by the diverse people and places that fill the heart of Los Angeles. This is the new story of L.A. Related and plated by the chefs who tell it best.

RESERVE A SEAT

As part of the restoration of its expansive Plaza in Downtown L.A.,The Music Center created Abernethy’s as a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Abernethy’s features emerging chefs from throughout L.A. Chosen for their culinary talent and entrepreneurship, these chefs reflect the cultural diversity of Los Angeles County’s residents, cuisine, neighborhoods and businesses. Chef Shirley Chung of Ms Chi Cafe is the inaugural emerging chef and will launch the restaurant; a new chef will transform the restaurant every quarter.
